Chartered Insurance Brokers

We are proud to have been awarded the prestigious title of ‘Chartered Insurance Broker’ by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) in 2010.

This title is only awarded to firms committed to developing and maintaining the knowledge and capability of their people so that they can deliver the highest quality service.

Chartered status is the industry’s gold standard for insurance brokers and is currently met by only a small percentage of firms in the UK.

British Insurance Brokers’ Association

The British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA) is the UK’s leading general insurance intermediary organisation, representing the interests of insurance brokers, intermediaries and their customers.

BIBA maintains high level links with the Government, the Association of British Insurers (ABI), the major insurers and all senior organisations in the financial sector. In partnership with leading bodies and to the benefit of all brokers and intermediaries, BIBA continues to work closely with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to help ensure a fair, equitable and workable regulatory regime for the broking industry.

MacKay Corporate was the first Scottish member of Brokerbility, a group of like-minded, high quality, independent brokers that share common goals and values.

Collectively, the group places in excess of £500 million of insurance premiums every year. The group has developed enhanced products which are only available via Brokerbility Members.

The membership of Brokerbility allows us to remain truly independent whilst having the buying power of a multi-national Organisation.
